Water Polo Canada is proud to announce that it will be sending its Women’s and Men’s Senior National Teams to take part in international training camps this summer, as part of their preparation for upcoming international events, in pursuit of qualification for the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
20 athletes from the Senior Women’s National Team Talent Pool will meet in Athens, Greece, to train alongside local elite clubs as well as other National Teams, from July 1st to the 12th.
23 athletes from the Senior Men’s National Team Talent Pool will first train together in Montreal, QC, from July 8th to the 12th, before 17 of them then travel to Shunde, China, to train alongside the Chinese and other National Teams, from July 13th to the 26th.
“Every opportunity to train and compete internationally is an investment in our future”, said Water Polo Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team Head Coach Kyriaki Liosi. “These training camps are an important part of our development pathway toward LA 2028.”
