Water Polo Canada wants to welcome the new members of its Board of Directors who were elected during its virtual Annual General Assembly, Sunday June 13, 2021.

 

Under the supervision of parliamentarian Jason Robinson of Sport Law, the electoral process lead to the election of following persons:

• Erin Lukie, Senior Director at YPO. Second term.
• Catherine Code, Vice Chair, Merger & Acquisition, Deloitte. First term
• Alison Hunter, General Manager, Hyatt Place, Ottawa. First term
• Oleg Stratiev, Associate, Merger & Acquisition and Capital Markets, Fasken Martineau Du Moulin. First term.
• Jared Gillepsie, Legal Counsel, Miovision Technologies. Second term. Prior term between 2018-2020.

They will be joining our current Board members:

• Josée Lanouette (VP)
• Frank Meunier
• Kathleen Dawson
• Geoff Schoenberg
• Donna Atkinson

The Directors will be choosing the new president in the next 30 days.Water Polo Canada would like to congratulate all new members of the Board and thank all those who were candidates.We would also like to acknowledge the following individuals who are departing:

• Conrad Hadubiak, four terms as president and a total of six as a member of the Board (2009-2021).
• Andi Mortensen, one term as a member of the Board (2019-2021).
• Doug Maclaren, two terms as a member of the Board (2018-2021).
• Paul Fritz-Németh, four terms as a member of the Board (2013-2021).

Their contribution and dedication to the organization were exemplary throughout their mandates. Water Polo Canada wants to express its deepest gratitude and wishes them good luck in their new endeavors.

 

Finally, Saturday June 12, 2021, two virtual Safe Sport sessions were presented by Stephanie Cowle (Parachute) and Allison Forsyth (ITP Sport). Both sessions were exceptional in their content and led to lively questions and discussions afterwards.
