Water Polo Canada (WPC) is pleased to launch our NEW Concussion Education Toolkits!
These are IMPORTANT resources for all WPC stakeholders, especially athletes, coaches and parents. They will allow stakeholders to be proactive in the prevention, recognition and management of concussions. Even though concussions are not visible on x-rays, CT or MRI scans, we know now that the damages are serious and that they can have long term consequences. This is one of the many reasons why proper concussion education is important to WPC!
These Concussion Education Toolkits go above and beyond our previous concussion resources. They have been developed as turn-key guides that can be used during each water polo season's preparation. These toolkits include information adapted with permission by Parachute and by the Institut National du sport Québec (INS Québec) in collaboration with WPC.
These Concussion Education Toolkits are available to WPC stakeholders as either a complete document or separate individual resources. These options allow for easy accessability of the content.
