Water Polo Canada announces final roster for the 2024 World Aquatics Men's U16 Championships

Competition will be held June 18-24 in Malta

Ottawa, June 13, 2024 - Water Polo Canada is proud to present the 15 athletes who will represent the country at the 2024 World Aquatics Men’s U16 Championships, June 18-24, in Malta.

The Canadian Team will be in Group G and will initially play against Australia, Tuesday, June 18th, at 10:30am (ET), Turkey, Wednesday, June 19th, at 3am (ET), and Croatia, Thursday, June 20th, at 4:15am (ET).

“We’re thrilled to be sending a team to these 2024 World Aquatics Men’s U16 World Championships as part of this new pilot program, and hope to be able to continue to provide such opportunities to athletes from this age group, moving forward", said Andrew Muir, Water Polo Canada’s Senior Manager of Leagues and Pathway.

Held every two years, the World Aquatics Men’s U16 Championships will showcase athletes who are 16 years old and younger (i.e. born in 2008 or later).

Lyle Brooks will also attend the 2024 World Aquatics Men’s U16 Championships as referee.
