Water Polo Canada announces final roster for the 2024 World Aquatics Men's U18 Championships

Competition will be held July 2-9 in Argentina

Ottawa, June 27, 2024 - Water Polo Canada is proud to present the 15 athletes who will represent the country at the 2024 World Aquatics Men’s U18 Championships, July 2-9, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Canadian Team will be in Group C and will play against Turkey Wednesday, July 3rd, at 11am (ET), and China Thursday, July 4th, at 11am (ET), in the preliminary round.

Before taking part in these championships, the Canadian Team began their trip with a preparatory tournament held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before traveling to Argentina for competition.

“We are excited to see what our U18 squad can do in the second year of their program. After qualifying in Bauru for these World Championships, we are looking forward to the talent on this squad improving on the lessons learnt from that tournament. We’re also happy to welcome both new players and new staff to this team. ", said Andrew Muir, Water Polo Canada’s Senior Manager of Leagues and Pathway.

Held every two years, the World Aquatics Men’s U18 Championships will showcase athletes who are 18 years old and younger (i.e. born in 2006 or later).

Evan Andrews will also attend the 2024 World Aquatics Men’s U18 Championships as referee.
