National Team Apparel Request for Proposal

SUMMARY

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for securing a national team apparel provider for the next four-year cycle from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028

WATER POLO CANADA (WPC)

WPC (https://waterpolo.ca/) is the national governing body for the sport of water polo in Canada. WPC has nine (9) Provincial Sport Organizations (“PSOs”) as members and nearly 7,500 individuals as registrants (athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and staff). WPC is recognized by its partners at World Aquatics (the international sanctioning body for water sports), the Canadian Olympic Committee, the Canadian Paralympic Committee, and Sport Canada as the designated authority for the sport in Canada.

REQUIREMENTS

The selected sponsor will be responsible for:

1. Designing and producing competition gear and outerwear
2. Ensure all gear meets high performance standards required for international competitions
3. Collaborate with WPC to incorporate our branding and identity into designs incorporating additional logos as required
4. Delivery of items in an agreed upon timeline, recognizing timelines often have a short turnaround

PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS

1. An overview of your company and experience in sports apparel
2. Examples of previous work with other sports organisations or teams
3. Information of proposed partnership benefits for WPC and its athletes, including but not limited to:
   • Value in kind
   • Sponsorship for Brand exposure
   • Discounted prices for additional product
4. Other areas of interest including potential opportunities to raise funds for National Teams
5. Financial terms and any other relevant details

1. 2025 and 2027 World Aquatics Championships
2. World Cups
3. Pan American Championships
4. Pan American Games
5. 2028 Olympic Games
6. Various Age Group World Championships and Qualifiers
7. FISU
8. International Training Camps Available upon request

PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS ESTIMATES - SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM

The following is an example of what is required for our Senior National Team per year.

Exact numbers and products can differ based on cost or availability.

Required to meet qualifications/standards of International Governing bodies and approval when necessary

PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS ESTIMATES - AGE GROUP NATIONAL TEAMS

The following is an example of what is required for our Age Group National Teams per year. Exact numbers and products can differ based on cost or availability.

Required to meet international standard and approval

Other areas of interest for considerations include:

1. Water Polo Canada national team store for public availability.

2. Water Polo Canada national team discount for clubs and provinces.

3. Additional products to enhance training and competition environment (e.g. deck shoes, goggles, kick boards etc.)

4. Activation initiatives such as a storefront at Water Polo events in Canada.

5. Performance bonuses.
